Oz opens his mouth to respond but immediately stymies his words. Most likely because it was going to be the same thing he said ten minutes ago and thirty minutes ago and two hours ago and yesterday. Yesterday? I look at my watch.
“We’ve been here for twenty-seven hours” I say exhausted and under my breath, but apparently loud enough to still be heard. Oz looks at his watch and Oka glares at me across the table in slight disgust. Shame fills my face. It was crass and that wasn’t my intention, I’m just in complete disbelief that I will be able to answer the question “how long does it take to decide a planet’s fate?”
