Oka responds, “SHIT!” There is a pause.

“Can you get to his ship?” she asks.

Perplexed at her response I ask for an explanation the simplest way I know how.

“WHAT?” I say back.

With all that must be going through Oka’s mind she manages to still lead without hesitance.

“Map shows Isic is headed towards Oz. Take Isic’s ship while he’s gone, we have to get as many seeds off the planet as possible. Take his ship and his route.”

She never asks if I’m okay. She never even asked why.

To be honest, it was refreshing. Without saying it she let me know, the mission is STILL the mission.

I find ALL the strength I can muster and stand up straight. I limp over to the door and open it. I begin to walk the hall of the landing bay which has windows that overlook the other ships. I can see Oz’s ship light and explode the same way I saw mine.

I hesitate before continuing. Oz could use my help. Together we can take Isic down and get to the bottom of what’s going on.

“NIJ MOVE NOW,” Oka bellows. She sees me on the camera considering my options.
